Field Engineers work on delivering frontline technical services and solutions to our customers across any one of Baker Hughes' drilling, evaluation, completion and production technologies. Year 1 Responsibilities:
You enter as a Field Engineer I focused primarily on core safety and field operational skills and you will develop a limited scope of technical product and service skills. Further you will participate in a mentorship program to ensure you have a comprehensive, holistic learning experience and ultimately enable you to support and mentor less experienced staff.
The first year of the Engineer Development Program typically consists of:
  • Orientation that combines company-level and specific service line level instructor-led activities:
- Base location orientation & training, including (where applicable) fire fighting training, offshore survival training and emergency response
- The company-level Engineer Development Program 1
- A multiple-week service line specific Core Training Academy
  • Significant field exposure and structured on-the-job training and e-learning. For example, you will spend extended periods of time in the field observing and assisting in field service jobs, such as:
- Assembling down-hole equipment at base location prior to being dispatched to well-site. Down-hole equipment may be a combination of electrically, mechanically, or hydraulically activated and operated specialized equipment deployed in to a well.
- Deploying down-hole equipment under supervision at the well-site
- Design well-site interventions under supervision using proprietary well-site simulation software packages
- Analyzing rig-site product utilization & performance data and determining & recommending changes of basic product down-hole assembly configurations
- Assisting sales representatives in business development activities including presenting to clients under supervision
- Performing warehousing and logistical activities (e.g. blending chemicals to required specifications for bulk transfer to well-site)
- Setting up and removing equipment at the well-site
- Authoring and producing post-job evaluation reports for clients
To gain promotion to a Field Engineer II role you are expected to have completed the following:
  • Met or exceeded the business and development goals established during the performance management process
  • Met all technical training requirements
  • Met proficiency requirements for assigned technical, leadership, behavioral, and business skills
  • Formal Field Review.

Summary Job Responsibility:



Manages and oversees the analysis, build, design, implementation and acceptance of new products configuration in the CRM module.

Oversees implementation, integration and upgrade of existing/new solutions in the Customer Relationship Management module (CRM) enterprise-wide

Oversees planning for the order handling process for SIM cards, recharge vouchers and ll other fulfillment for EMTS.

Oversees the technical scoping, capacity planning, hardware sizing and system functional requirement availability for the BSS systems.

Ensures timely delivery of all fulfillment projects.

Prepares RFPs & RFQs and audit statement of compliance and functional requirements for enterprise requirements in customer care and billing.

Requirements:



A Bachelor's degree in a numerate or technology field of study (Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Accounting , Physics, Statistics, etc).

Relevant certification in a core IT Technology such as IPs, Operating Systems, Software Development, Service Oriented Architecture or DBA is required.

Post Graduate degree is desirable.

6 – 8 years post NYSC experience with at least three(3) years in a

Supervisory/Specialist role with Provisioning, Mediation/Activation Systems for GSM, UMTS, and CDMA is mandatory.

Professional Training in eTOM, ITIL, Project Management, Service Provisioning in Telecom will be an added advantage.

Reviews the unit/team's activities and make recommendations for improvement and implement approved improvement initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.

Assists in the timely provisioning of pacet switching network capacity for all the GSM elements, features, protocols, etc.

Designs, plans and dimension packet switching network elements to ensure optimal use and deployment of resources.

Provides useful inputs in defining the locations for packet switches and other network elements.

Coordinates the unit's activities and ensure compliance with the organization's operating policies, controls and procedures.

Performs any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Packet Core Planning.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Postgraduate/professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.

Summary Job Responsibility:



Oversees planning, prioritization and assignment of targets and tasks to entire Radio Network Development section.

Reviews allocation/utilization of resources and section performance.

Oversees all activities related to the coverage prediction for planned radio base stations ensuring conformance to standards, procedures and guidelines.

Oversees the assessment of available capacity, current utilization of capacity and additional requirements to meet new/increased traffic needs with respect to Radio Network.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or related field.
